Lot is named to George Bentz of Allentown, PA and consists of a large studio portrait, four smaller photos of him and other soldiers, a small picture of a woman in a Red Cross uniform with the name "Katherine Bentz" on the revers, a postcard of the USNS General R.M. Blatchford, and a Ship to Shire message from the same ship, to Mr. Bentz's family.

A note about the Blatchford: After her service in WWII, she was reacquired by the Navy on 1 March 1950 for operations by a Civil Service crew under the MSTS and transported thousands of troops from the West Coast in support of United Nations Forces in Korea.
