Original U.S. M1917 helmet with a handpainted 33rd Infantry Division insignia on the front. Exterior still retains most of its OD paint and rough texture. Leather chinstrap and liner are unfortunately gone.
The 33rd fought in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Somme offensive, and Saint-Mihiel and had six Medal of Honor recipients.
